Mary is an experienced media relations professional with a track record of developing press materials, preparing spokespersons for interviews, and pitching media stories. She works closely with clients to achieve media coverage that furthers their mission and goals.
She is an expert at crafting compelling, concise news releases that generate media coverage in the trade and general press. She is adept at interviewing highly skilled experts, scientists, and researchers and translating complex topics into understandable language.
For several decades, Mary served as a member of the press team at the RSNA Annual Meeting—one of the world’s largest medical meetings—securing coverage in major news outlets including CNN, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, major television newscasts, and public radio. She recently established a media relations program for the Institute for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
Mary has also successfully promoted non-medical clients, including an innovative food processing technology, a plant-based line of dips and cheeses and several community organizations. Samples of her work and news coverage are below.
